Punta Sur

Time for a stroll between boat jobs and to discover more of the island. Hopping in Argonauty we ripped south down the inlet to a small dockside bar, tying up to the timber dock and soon being interrogated about our intentions, it was clear we would need to purchase a beer before we could slip out.

Punta Sur, Mexico’s most easterly point.

Walking south for about an hour we passed many beach resorts and could feel the next low pressure system intensifying as we reached our destination.

In true Argonaut fashion we had reach the promontory just as a violent squall passed through. We sought shelter in the natural rock formations and contemplated just how much higher the waves were during the sail through Milton.
